PROTECT YOUR EQUITY

During recent years, second mortgages and home equity loans have increased significantly in popularity. While such loans can be very appealing when they are used to refinance existing debt, such as credit card balances, or simply to make additional purchases, there can be negative consequences which homeowners may want to consider before getting such a loan.

When the time comes to sell their home, owners with home equity loans or second mortgages may face the harsh reality of having little or no equity. In the worst cases they may even owe more than the home is worth. If such a homeowner is facing a job transfer or a loss of job, such circumstances can create economic hardship.

Hopefully, being aware of the possible negative impact of home equity loans will cause you to consider being careful with the equity in your home. If you have further questions, contact me at slaunchbaugh@cbtulsa.com

Do Unto Others…….

Sell….to persuade or induce someone to buy (something)
Facilitate...to make easier or less difficult; help forward (an action, a process, etc.)
Partnership...an association of persons joined together in a common goal

I know how I feel when someone tries to sell me something - I am usually very resistant. I feel that if I need to be talked into it, it’s not what I truly want. So when I went into real estate, I made a conscious choice to be a facilitator. I want to get to know my clients as people; I want to listen between the conversation and try to hear what you really want, not necessarily just what you are saying.

That means we are partners from the first day. I expend every resource available to me to accomplish what you want, whether it’s in the marketing of your property, or driving the streets looking for your perfect home. If ever I’m not doing that, I hope you will feel comfortable telling me. If I get your home sold, or get you into the home of your dreams, then we are both successful., and it has been a great partnership.

Many thanks to my previous clients for letting me get to know you and make you my friends. A successful business venture is great, but a true friendship is even better. The greatest testament to that is when you are comfortable calling for years after our transaction., or referring me to your friends. Whether your real estate questions or needs are in Tulsa or out of the area, I hope you always know you can count on me to look out for you. That’s what friends do.
