In fact, a few are behind on their monthly payments and may be facing a possible foreclosure.
Some foreclosures can be prevented, but many homeowners are unaware of the options available to them. Some lenders will work with borrowers to defer some portion of their payments for a period of time. In other circumstances, a lender may accept less than a full payoff of the loan to allow the home to be sold.
